What are the three aspects of prophecy?

Each verse in The Bible has 3 applications:-

1. The doctrinal application (often prophetic)

2. The historical application, meaning the event actually happened in human history.

3. The devotional or spiritual application, which is the practical application of the passage to the life and conduct of the believer.

Many of these verses are prophetic. Bearing in mind that one third of the Bible is prophecy, and that most of the prophecies have not been completely fulfilled yet, the three aspects of prophecy are their fulfillment in the :-

1. PAST - partial fulfillment

2. PRESENT - partial fulfillment

3. FUTURE - complete fulfillment in Millennium

It can also be split into:-

1. Material

2. Spiritual

3. Messianic

For example, all 9 of the above could be regarding the nation Israel.

All prophecy is literal - do not spiritualize it away.

All prophecy relates to the 2nd coming of the Messiah [ie Messianic] with complete fulfillment in the Millennium.
