Does the Elf on the Shelf come back?

Your elf on the shelf could go anywhere at any time. My elves have gone everywhere. Don't get worried if you don't see it because it is probably went to the North Pole or somewhere else in your house.

If you don't want your elf to go a certain place close the door, hug it tight so it can't get out, or lock it up.
