What are the duties and responcebilities of waiter?

Hello, this is a general list of the responsibilities of a server: 1) greeting the customer as they sit down and asking them what they would like to drink 2) assuring that the customer has adequate utensils/condiments on the table 3) taking the customer's order in a timely manner and assisting with any questions about the menu or pricing 4) taking the order to the cook's line (or putting it into a computer) 5) keeping the customer's drinks full while they wait for their food 6) traying up the food when it is ready, making sure that all the necessary components are present for the meal 7) keeping up on the customer, refilling drinks, making sure they don't need anything (also called "doing rounds") 8) bring them their check 9) in some restaurants the server must ring up their check and bring the customer change/ their receipt, and in some restaurants the customer pays up from at the cash register Keep in mind these are the responsibilities for one table, but a server must manage multiple tables at a time. The difficult part about being a server is giving each customer the attention they deserve and taking care of them in a timely fashion. Servers must also be sure to care for customers in the right order, or some people might get frustrated that they got there first but someone else's order was taken first.
