What is the settings in septimus by john wickham?

This short story is set in a place called 'The Gap' which is a narrow lane between the cane-fields. It is a rural area and the people who reside there are very poor. It can be seen as being rural because Septimus's neighbor owns a cow which signifies country-life. Hope I helped :)
