How do you explain sunset to kids?

I would explain to kids that a sunset happens when the sun goes down below the horizon in the evening, creating beautiful colors in the sky like pinks, Oranges, and purples. This happens because of the way the Earth rotates and the sunlight interacts with the atmosphere. It's a magical time of day when we can watch the sky change colors and say goodbye to the sun until it rises again in the morning.
