Is spray paint dangerous for the environment?

because the fumes in the paint cans are dangerous to our helth causes us headaches and even worse it could give us damage to our liver and kidneys. also the fumes of the paint can get into our lakes and water and the animals eat out of so it could kill or hurt them . or it could get in to our water system that we drink.
