How do you protect your olive tree from raiding crows?

Netting can be used, the genuine bird net is white in color for good light penetration and has squares normally around 20-25 mm.

Hanging Hawks (large shiny tin birds available from hardware stores) suspended above your trees have some success.

I have used a homeopathic product called Birdscare, it is available from a company called B D Max.co.nz, they are in New Zealand and have a very great range of alternative pest control's and fertilizers. It works very well but needs to be used as directed, once as soon as the birds appear and then another application a week later, then keep an eye open, you may need a third spray for long term control.

Noise, (loud bangs, rattling cans) etc works well but needs to be constant, if you back off for a day the birds will return quickly.
