What type of oil do you use for a stock 1969 beetle?

Shell Rotella T 10W30. Rotella T is made for hot-running diesel engines, which makes it perfect for our hot-running gas engines. Any name brand 30W will also work if you don't have a filter. Cheaper. Works just fine for stock motor.
