How do you replace air shocks on 1999 Lincoln Continental?

Your best bet is to replace the air shocks with a spring adapter kit. The kit retails for about $400 and is fairly easy to install.My mechanic charged me for 1.5 hrs labor but after seeing what was involved i think i could have done it myself.The Ford dealers were'nt interested in doing the kit and wanted $1500 to $2000 to replace the air bags.The ride seems a bit harsher but

my 98 is still a fine ride.
