How do you replace hood ornament on Jaquar X-type?

you will need to pop the hood and under the hood ornament there is a plastic nut, should be a 24mm deep weel socket that fits it. unscrew the nut and let the hood down. the top side of the leaper (hood ornament) had doulbel sided tape at the bottom where it connects to the hood. peel off the ornament with a plastic body trim tool. you could use a screwdriver (flat blade) but be careful on the paint. once it is off clean the glue off the hood with either goo gone or something similar. to reinstall it reverse the process.
