There are many, many ways to show your mom you love her! The best way is just to say "I love you, mom" -- but here are some other things you can do:
- help her do some of her household chores and give her the night off
- write a letter telling her all the specific things you appreciate about her
- gather old family photos and make an album for her
- bring her some flowers
- make something hand-made that she can use
- bring her breakfast in bed and let her have the morning off while you clean up
- take her out to dinner and/or a movie
- make a memory box for her -- have everyone in the family write down what they love about her and put those papers into a nice box so she can take them out and look at them whenever she wants
The best thing I ever did for my mother -- the thing I can keep in my mind now that she's dead -- we never left each other or hung up the telephone without both of us saying "I love you." Start that now and you'll always have good memories.
