What is the most quality wood for kitchen cabinets?

Many people are using good 1 side or good 2 side natural finished 3/4 inch plywood for their cabinet boxes. It is very strong and attractive. It is also heavy so make sure to attach it to a wall stud. Stay away from particle board and MDF board. As for cabinet doors, I have built 1000's out of various types of wood. The most common were cherry and hard maple. If your looking for a natural finish, my favorite is red birch, it is not too expensive, but it looks amazing in a raised panel door!
