What is the value of a 30 30 Marlin Model 36?

If it is a 36 and not a 336 that means it was made before 1949. The value of course depends on the condition. I paid 250 for a 36 that was in good condition but it does look well used. I saw one right next to it on the rack that was exactly the same riffle but that did not look as worn that was priced at 450.
