How do dhole get ready for birth?

Dholes, or Asiatic wild dogs, prepare for birth by creating a den, often using existing burrows or digging their own in secluded areas. The female typically goes through a gestation period of around 60 to 65 days before giving birth to a litter of 4 to 10 pups. During this time, she may become more reclusive and rely on the pack for support, as they help provide food and protection. As the birth approaches, the female will exhibit nesting behavior, gathering materials to line the den for comfort.
