Who made dragon quest monsters?

Dragon Quest Monsters was developed by Enix, which later became part of Square Enix. The series was created by Yuji Horii, the original creator of the Dragon Quest franchise, and features monster-catching gameplay similar to Pokémon. The first game was released in 1998 for the Game Boy and has since spawned several sequels and spin-offs.
