Are flip cameras good for recording singing?

Flip cameras are best for beginners, not experts or those looking to seriously get recognized by talent agencies. In general, flip cameras have lower quality. With a flip camera you get no zoom functionality and only tolerable low-light performance.

With most electronics you get what you pay for. If you are into singing you should try to invest into at least a cheap D-SLR Camera with an external microphone.
