How do you show you are responsible enough to get a dog?

Do many chores. Help out. Don't argue with people. Do chores that you hate without hesitation. If you are messy, be very clean. Start showing your knowledge about digs. When you think you have a chance, then create a persuasive speech. It should include all of your responsibilities, what breeds are right for your family, and who would do what about taking care of the dog. I did this, and we now own a puppy named Gracie.
