Replacing alternator 2004 Hyundai Sonata six cylinder?

My son has been trying to remove my 6-cylinder Hyundai Sonata for 4 hours. He just got it - you have to pull the motor mount and jack the engine. OR take it to your local mechanic and save yourself the hassle.
