What is Canada's climate like?

Canada shares many landforms with the united states. hikers in the hills of Quebec and new Brunswick climb part of the same Appalachian mountains found in Pennsylvania. the Canadian shield, a huge area of ancient rock that covers much of eastern Canada, extends into upstate new york. Canada's climate affects what grows on its land. most of Arctic Canada is covered in tundra. tundra is a treeless plant found in very cold places. Canada's central plains are wide stretches of prairie's, or grasslands, that have long, cold winters and hot, dry summers. about half of Canada is covered in forests. evergreen trees cover most of the area south of the tundras.
