A major pitfall in a small business is cash flow. Should cash for goods sold to customers (it could be a major customer with a large account owing), be slow or delayed in being received, the small business may need to obtain a bridging loan or overdraft from a bank. The small business need money to come in so that the business can pay outgoings, especially to buy in more raw goods to enable the business to produce finished goods for future sales.
