1996 dodge neon driver side axle removal Have the hub removed and flange bolts removed. But axle won't slide out Does it have to be pried out I am replacing blown rear main engine seal.?

Yes, the axle is held into the transmission with a circlip. Pry between the case and inner cv joint.
