Why did eminem hit Eddie Guerrero?

apparently eminem was with a date with his wife kim and then i dont know what but he later saw her kissing eddie guerrero, eddie filed a suit saying that eminem hit him with an unloaded pistol, but eminem said that he only punched him

hence eminem saying that guererro is full of sh*t in "sing for the moment"
