The jaws and teeth of tyrannosaurus would be poorly suited for anything other than a diet consisting of meat. Evidence of Tyrannosaurus being a predator are its relatively large, forward-facing eye sockets. This suggests that T. rex had relatively good binocular vision, something a scavenger would have little use for.
