What is not a way we can cut back on our use of oil?

One way we cannot cut back on our use of oil is by entirely eliminating its usage in essential sectors such as transportation and manufacturing, where it remains a critical energy source. Additionally, trying to reduce oil consumption without investing in alternative energy sources or infrastructure may not be effective. Reliance on oil for heating, electricity generation, and as a raw material in various products complicates efforts to cut back without viable substitutes. Lastly, simply raising awareness without implementing practical changes or policies will not significantly reduce oil dependency.
