What makes up spleen tissue?

Spleen tissue is primarily composed of two types of specialized tissues: red pulp and white pulp. The red pulp consists of a network of blood vessels and macrophages, responsible for filtering blood and recycling iron from hemoglobin. The white pulp contains lymphoid tissue, including B and T lymphocytes, which are crucial for the immune response.
