How Does a starfish float?

Starfish, or sea stars, float due to their unique anatomy, which includes a water vascular system that helps manage buoyancy. They have a central disc and arms filled with fluid that can adjust their internal pressure, allowing them to maintain stability in the water. Additionally, their lightweight, calcified structure and the presence of gas-filled spaces in their tissues contribute to their ability to float.
