Who is stronger sonic or Mario?

Mario is obviously stronger than sonic. What strength feats has sonic shown? Mario can destroy entire castles as if they are nothing! And he can punch out stars and survived Supernovas that destroyed the universe and giant black holes and lava casually!!!
