Blobfish, like many other fish species, do not molt in the same way that some crustaceans or insects do. Instead, they grow continuously throughout their lives and shed smaller scales and skin as part of their natural growth process. This helps them maintain their health and adapt to their environment, but it is not classified as molting. Their unique gelatinous structure allows them to survive in the extreme pressures of their deep-sea habitat.
