Can you get body lice scabies or bed bugs from touching used clothing eg Goodwill store?

Touching used clothing is not likely a way to get bed bugs, however, if you are trying clothing on or bringing it home, you may end up bringing bed bugs with you. Whenever purchasing used clothing, be sure to wash and dry any and everything on the hottest settings possible, and run through the dryer for at least 40-45 minutes. This will kill off any bugs that may be in the clothing. Ensure that clothing is washed and dried immediately, or stored in an airtight container, such as a zip-lock bag.
