Cretoxyrhina, a large predatory shark from the Late Cretaceous period, primarily fed on other marine animals, including fish and smaller sharks. Its sharp teeth and powerful jaws were well-adapted for catching and consuming a variety of prey in the oceanic environment. Fossil evidence suggests that it may have also scavenged on carcasses. Overall, Cretoxyrhina was a formidable predator in its ecosystem.
