When you lose your virginity what does it mean when you bleed afterwards?

For a female, it can mean she's torn her hymen which is a thin piece of skin that isn't her virginity, but many view it as a sign of virginity. Some virgins don't have a hymen, though. For a male, he would need to seek medical attention as there should be no bleeding on his part, and if not certain with the female, medical attention can be sought as well.
