Is Norco considered Vicodin

They both use the same narcotic medication, hydrocodone. The only difference is that Norco contains less acetaminophen (Tylenol) than the Vicodin formulations.

Some patients found they had a lot of stomach irritation with Vicodin, but if they were switched to Norco, they didn't have as much problem with that symptom because of the lower level of Tylenol.
