Who are the lardburgers?

The Lardburgers were part of a British TV comedy show called "The Big Breakfast". They were stereotypical Americans who were obscenely fat, gun-toting, lawsuit chasing people. They were not a huge part of the series, but they get a lot of attention for being, well, stereotypical Americans. They are often used to show how many Europeans have an anti-American bias. Whether this is true or not I cannot confirm.
