Does a baby eat while in the mothers stomach?

Yes. as a matter of fact the fetus (baby) doesn't eat, it takes in the nutrients of the food that the mother eats eg. vitamins, minerals, protein etc. Also, it is worthwhile to note that the fetus rests in the uterus, an organ completely separate from the stomach.
