According to author Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series of novels what do vampires do vampires do in the sunlight?

They sparkle. Bella describes edward in the sunlight like this: "his skin, white despite the faint flush from yesterday's hunting trip, literally sparkled, like thousand of tiny diamonds were embedded in the surface." pg 260 of twilight

that's right . but , this isn't the case for all books and films or tv progs about vampires .some sparkle . some burn . you get loads of different things . in the tv prog ''young Dracula'' vampires steam up and end up burning ( as in smokey steam starts to come out from them ) .
