Unfortunately, most of the time, yes. Unless it is detected early and your gecko is seen by an exotic animal veterinarian immediately, your gecko's chances of survival are slim. There is no cure for Crypto, so if it's bad, the only things even a vet can do are either treat the symptoms or euthanize the gecko.
