Have your town mayor come and present a proclamation to the deparment honoring Housekeeping Week. Small gifts such as travel mugs, lap blankets, lunchboxes, frames, etc are all appreciated (www.positivepromotions.com, www.baudville.com or www.orientaltrading.com). p.s. We used to do cleaning supplies as give aways, but the employees prefer something they can use and reuse over and over. Surprise your day or 3rd shift employees with breakfast, bananas, Oranges, rolls, donuts, juice & milk. Dinner for evening shift can be as easy as Pizza or Happy Meals from McD's. You can purchase certificate paper very inexpensively and create certificates of appreciation or meal tickets (www.paperdirect.com & www.baudville.com). Your team can also play various games; guess how many jelly beans in a big jar, Johnny Mop Hockey, Buffer Racing, Trash Can Barrel Races, etc. If you're planning way ahead you can also take pictures and create a power point presentation that can honor your staff and arrange to display it in a public area, i.e. cafeteria, lobby, etc. Hope this helps!
