When your'e fishing in clear water what you need to do is find a shallow flat that declines into deeper water and cast into the deep with a shad. And as a little extra add some nail polish so it makes it looks like it's bleeding. well i live in big bear and go fishing in silverwood lake if you dont live around here you wont know were this is but i use a diver either rainbow colored or red with black stripes, spinners, topwaters and plastic worms purple or green with rainbow sparkles these will give you a good chance at catching a big one. good luck :)
In clear water, baits that are more natural in color work better than colorful ones. Plastic worms or crayfish imitators in colors like pumpkin, green pumpkin, moccasin, black, or watermelon work best.
