Idle adjustment 5.7 tbi

You have to locate the plug on the right front of the TBI when facing the engine. It will be right in front of the Throttle linkage. Remove the TBI from the engine and using a small drill bit carefully drill a hole thru the plug. Then use a slightly larger bit and open the hole up just large enough to stick the tip of a pair of long nose pliers in the hole. You should be able to pop the plug out of the TBI. Inside you will find a Trox screw that will adj. the idle speed of your engine. Remount the TBI and make sure everything is connect correctly. Start the engine and using a Trox screw driver adjust the idle speed.

USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN DRILLING THE HOLE IN THE PLUG YOU CAN DANAGE THE TROX SHREW IF YOU DRILL INTO IT. There is enough space between the plug and the TROX screw that you want hit it if you are careful.
