When people date people youger that then doesn't mean how they treat you?

When somebody likes somebody in like 5th grade and your in 6th and your driends are like why do u like someone younger that u it dosen't matter it is how they treat you that all tht matters and don't listen to your friend who u like is who u like and nobdy xan change that.
