After you beat your dog it won't trust you, always fearing that the next beating will come. raising a puppy is a test of patience, if you're impatient you're better off with a bigger, well-trained dog, or a cat. dogs and human have a trust, loving bond and once it's broken it's hard to mend, not only because of trust issues, but because once you do it you'll do it again inevitably.
