How did Boba Fett get out?

After he was trapped in the sarlacc, he was unable to be digested due to his strong Armor. Boba Fett then distracted it for a while and activated his jet pack along with his flamethrower which confused the Sarlacc and injured it. However, the sarlacc did major damage to him, forcing him to undergo extensive surgery after he was able to escape.
