We own a belt buckle made with Indian head nickels and a 1928 silver dollar. These coins have been soldered together and we were wondering if we unsoldered them if that would damage the coins.?

Most likely any collectable value of the coins are gone

unless its a very rare coin then a pro maybe able the save it

depending what kind of solder was used. Most of these jewery makers

new which coins were rare and used common coins in there jewelry.

Some Indian made jewelry was made of a very soft low heat solder

hope this helps look up your coins in the red book they may be worth

more as a belt buckle.
