Should animals have the same cage when they are the same animals?

Like animals are not always a good choice for cage mates. Some animals are solitary unless they are mating. Some animals species will have issues if they are

housed together and are the same sex. Cage size also plays a role in aggressive

behavior.

ex. Male rabbits housed together will try to castrate each other.

Also, housing opposite sex animals in the same cage may result in unwanted offspring.
