How often do alligator lizards lay eggs?

Alligator lizards typically lay eggs once a year during the breeding season, which occurs in the spring. Females usually deposit a clutch of 5 to 10 eggs in a hidden location, such as under rocks or in leaf litter. The eggs incubate for about two to three months before hatching.
