Franz Schubert received formal musical training at a young age, studying violin and piano with his father and later attending the Stadtkonvikt, a boarding school in Vienna. There, he was introduced to Music Theory and composition under the guidance of his teachers. Schubert also had exposure to choral music, which influenced his later works. Despite his formal education, much of his compositional style was developed through personal exploration and the influence of contemporary composers.
