'ABABCC' describes the rhyme structure of a poem. Corresponding letters signal the rhyming Words, for example in William Wordsworth's poem I wandered lonely as a cloud, the first stanza shows this ABABCC structure:
I wandered lonely as a cloud (A)
That floats on high o'er vales and hills, (B)
When all at once I saw a crowd, (A)
A host, of golden daffodils; (B)
Beside the lake, beneath the trees, (C)
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. (C)
A - cloud rhymes with crowd
B - hills rhymes with daffodils
C - trees rhymes with breeze
