Describe the process of regurgitation in ruminant animals?

Regurgitation is the returning of swallowed food from the rumen of the ruminant to the mouth for further mastication. I think the purpose is so that they don't need to chew while they graze, they just eat as many as they can and rest then regurgitate the food, saving time and effort.
