What could be the reason for your fuel mixing with engine oil on a 4 stroke motorbike?

The engine is running rich and the excess fuel is seeping through the piston cylinder into the oil reservoir. Probably time for a good tune up: new spark plug(s) air and fuel filter chage, etc., maybe even a carburetor adjustment.
