Can you clean the fouled plug with solvent?

You can clean anything with solvent, will the plug spark is the question. I am seeking this answer as well.. Seeing as iridium IV plugs are $12.00 a pop. I know I used to clean em with some gas and fire combo and they would run again. I haven't tried that lately though. PEACE
